Daily Prompt: Ready, Set, Go

Daily Prompt:  Ready, Set, Go

Set a timer for ten minutes. Open a new post. Start the timer, and start writing. When the timer goes off, publish.

Tick.  Tock.  Tick.  Tock.  ……. Nine (9) minutes left to go and I still have no idea what I’m going to write about.   [deep sigh]

I look around my desk for inspiration and realize how it looks like a tornado has passed over my desk.  [another deep sigh]Image

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

Weekly Photo Challenge | Beyond
In a new post specifically created for this challenge, share a picture which means BEYOND to you!

NorCal Clouds

This photo was taken by me in the latter part of 2012.  I was a passenger in the car in northern California, somewhere between San Jose and San Francisco on Highway 280 (I think the sign in the foreground is Los Altos) when I took this photo with my iPod.  These clouds are a reminder to me of the unseen “helpers”  (Guardian Angels, Spirit Guides, Arch Angels, Animal Guides, Wise Ones, etc.) who are usually just beyond our physical sight, but always with us nonetheless.

Pay attention to episodes in nature that kindle an inner spark of awe and admiration.  You don’t have to discuss it with another being.  If it has meaning to you, it’s valid.  Listen to the wind, the critters, the rain, and the ocean.  Listen to it all.

Daily Prompt: Breaking the Law | Rules? No Thanks

Think about the last time you broke a rule (a big one, not just ripping the tags off your pillows). Were you burned, or did things turn out for the best?

UnknownOkay, Daily Prompt, the biggest rule I’ve broken that I’m at liberty to speak about is speed limit signs.  I jokingly (not really, I’m actually very serious when I say this) refer to them as merely ‘suggestions’.

I am not into laws and rules.  I grew up Free Will Baptist in the deep south, Marianna, Florida (the panhandle of Florida) with very strict well-meaning parents, preachers and Sunday School teachers.  My entire life up until about 35 years old (I am 43 now) I felt like I was in a box of rules. Daily Prompt | Free Association | I Wanna Go Grounding in Great Napping Weather

Write down the first words that comes to mind when we say . . .

. . . home.    I wanna go …..  You see, I am not from here, and by here, I mean Earth.  I am an Incarnated Angel from the Angelic Realms born into this physical body during this lifetime.   Even though I love Mother Earth dearly, it is challenging for me to be on this heavy, dense 3D physical Earth in this limiting physical body.  Often times I long to go Home where there is only the high vibrations of Love & Light. Daily Prompt: 1984 | You want me to actually talk about my fears?

You’re locked in a room with your greatest fear. Describe what’s in the room.

I’ve only done one of the Daily Prompts so far this year, well, ever, actually.  But I do see them as catalysts encouraging me to post more often.  After seeing todays Daily Prompt, the thoughts in my head went something like this …. “You want me to actually talk about my fears?  Out loud?  Well, on paper anyway.  Okay, so you want me to publish them online for all to see?  Uh, no, but thanks for playing!”

I decided to click on some of the other blogs who already posted on this subject to see what they had to say and Purple Rosemary and I clearly were experiencing the same sentiments.

AlbinoRattler-WhiteSnakeHowever, after thinking about this for a few minutes, I calmed down and decided to share  what used to be my biggest fear.  Snakes.  For most of my life I’ve been deathly afraid of snakes.  Giving out that information to others (especially friends and family) always prompted them to get their jollies by scaring me with pictures of snakes, placing rubber snakes in my desk at work, etc.  I even had an ex-boyfriend put a snake in my house after I’d broken up with him. A Letter A Day

UnknownFor a few years now I’ve wanted to become more consistent with my writing. Not only writing for my blog, but writing to other people. The idea of taking a few minutes to handwrite a note or letter to someone appeals greatly to me. Fond memories of corresponding with pen pals when I was younger make me smile. Even in my teen years I was quite consistent in sharing Love & Light by sending cards to my girlfriends.

This practice that used to bring me such joy has fallen by the wayside. My intention is to reincarnate this practice of handwriting notes and cards to the people in my life.

Daily Prompt | Quote Me

I love quotes!  They are effective reminders of where I should place my thoughts, energy and time.   When I find a quote that strongly resonates with me, I write it on the bathroom mirror in dry erase marker so those are the first words I see when beginning  my day.  The very first quote I wrote on my bathroom mirror 8 years ago was … Continue reading
